I Just Want to Tell People About a Man Named Jesus
Lately, I’ve been sitting quietly with the Lord. No big plans. No pressure. Just a still heart and an open journal.
And in that stillness, one truth keeps rising to the surface:
I just want to tell people about a man named Jesus.
That’s it. That’s the calling. That’s the heartbeat. That’s the reason I started writing, sharing, showing up online in the first place.
Somewhere along the way, I thought I needed to “do more.” Build programs, offer coaching, plan the next big thing. And while those were good in their own season, they’re not where I feel led right now.
Right now?
I feel called to be.
To write.
To testify.
To open my heart and simply say… look what Jesus did for me.
I don’t want to chase influence. I want to carry impact.
I don’t want to feel like I’m “producing content.” I want to share what’s been poured into me—through devotionals, journal reflections, and the quiet moments with God that have changed everything.
This isn’t about going viral. This is about being faithful.
It’s about making room for the real, raw, in-between moments of life—the parts that don’t always fit into a quote box or a perfect caption.
It’s about the days when healing feels slow.
When your faith feels stretched.
When obedience doesn’t come with applause.
When all you have is a whisper of a prayer—and even that feels like a miracle.
This space—Grow Black Girl Grow—is becoming what it was always meant to be:
A lifestyle of faith.
A home for honest stories.
A quiet place to encounter Jesus.
So no, I’m not “launching” anything right now.
But I will be writing.
I’ll be sharing devotionals.
I’ll be offering my testimony like a love letter—one post at a time.
And if you ever feel led to purchase a devotional or reach out for mentorship, I’ll be here.
But there’s no pressure—just presence.
There’s no pitch—just peace.
And there’s no perfection—just the person of Jesus.
So if you’re looking for a space that honors the beauty and struggle of living a Spirit-led life, welcome.
If you’re trying to find Jesus in the middle of motherhood, marriage, ministry, or your own mess—welcome.
If you just need a gentle reminder that you are seen, known, and loved by the God who saves—welcome.
We’re going to take our time here. We’re going to breathe. We’re going to tell the truth. And above all—
We’re going to talk about a man named Jesus.
The One who saved me.
The One who’s saving me still.
With all my heart,
-KiYada
