Hey, Friend! I’m KiYada!
As a young girl, I was always intuitive and deeply aware of my emotions—but I didn’t have the language or tools to navigate what I felt. For years, I carried wounds I didn’t know how to name and burdens I thought I had to bear alone. But everything changed when I encountered the healing love of Jesus for myself.
My journey of emotional and spiritual healing began in 2015, and it wasn’t just about therapy or self-help—it was about meeting God in the raw, unfiltered moments of life. I discovered that faith and healing are not separate journeys. They walk hand-in-hand. And that realization opened the door to a kind of freedom I didn’t know existed.
I created Grow Black Girl Grow to be a sacred space where I could share that freedom. What started as a podcast and mentorship platform has now become a blog and lifestyle brand rooted in one simple mission: to tell people about a man named Jesus and how He saved me.
This is a space for Black women who are growing—not perfectly, not always confidently, but faithfully. It’s for the woman who’s tired of performance-based faith and is longing for something real. Here, I share personal stories, heartfelt devotionals, and reflections that speak to the nuances of life that often go unspoken.
If you’ve ever wrestled with your identity, your emotions, or your place in this world as a believer—welcome home. You don’t have to strive to be here. You don’t have to have it all together. Just come as you are.
Whether you're reading the blog, listening to past podcast episodes, or sitting with a devotional journal in hand, my prayer is that you’ll feel less alone and more seen—and most importantly, that you’ll be reminded of who you are and whose you are.
Keep growing, Black Girl.
With love,
KiYada
